We are always told that keeping track of our finances is important, but it can be a daunting task to get on top of! Thankfully, there are a number of tools out there to make the process a lot easier – gone are the days of tracking everything in a big ledger or hiring an expensive accountant for a comprehensive view of your finances. A few weeks ago, we released a blog about the end-to-end process of analysing an asset to making it live on the platform. However, we realised that we’ve never talked about the technological magic that underpins the entire Yielders platform. If you’re reading this, it’s likely that you’ve been through the signup process or made an investment on the platform. Yielders’ Economic Update: October 2020

The Data September saw a continuation of the white-hot run for the housing market since the introduction of stamp duty relief measures, historically low borrowing rates and the loosening of lockdown measures. We see the market as essentially tracking the rebound seen in the macroeconomy, and much of this has been driven by the ‘pent-up demand’ from what we will now call ‘Lockdown 1’. In short, this demand is translating into record-high house prices, edging towards the £250,000 average price across the UK. The numbers above indeed reflect the abnormal economic conditions brought about by the pandemic. A projected economic … Continue reading Yielders’ Economic Update: October 2020

The Yielders Process: from Pipeline to Platform

Many of our investors ask us about how we come across the properties that we list on the platform. The truth is, a lot goes on behind the scenes between introduction and launch, and we wanted to give you an insight into the steps we take to bring you our product. Step 1. Analysis When a potential property lands on the Investment Team’s desk, it is subjected to a stringent analysis of the financials. The Team will likely tell you that they spend a great deal of time modelling, however this is on Excel rather than in a glossy magazine! … Continue reading The Yielders Process: from Pipeline to Platform

UK Fintech and Economic Recovery

The Government has this week kicked off its ‘Independent Strategic Review of UK Fintech’, indicating a show of support to a sector which has displayed strong performance on the global stage over the past few years. The review has been seen by some as a show of faith in an industry which has real potential to underpin an economic recovery in … Continue reading UK Fintech and Economic Recovery

Yielders’ Secondary Market Explained

As a number of our investors have noticed, Yielders has recently experienced a rapid sell-out of its assets. We have experienced significantly more demand than we had planned for during Q1, meaning that any new properties that we released sold out incredibly quickly (our latest, Cohort H, filled up in less than a day!). In response to this strong demand from our investors, the investments team is working at full tilt to acquire assets as quickly as possible, while maintaining our careful due diligence standards throughout the process. While we work to provide as seamless a user experience as possible, … Continue reading Yielders’ Secondary Market Explained

Corona Volatility: How Might You Be Affected as a Yielders Investor?

Given the rather grim news that has hit the headlines over the past few weeks, you might be inclined to ask what this all means for Yielders and your investment. This post serves to give you the inside track on our view of things here at Yielders, as well as a reminder of the key fundamentals of our assets. The truth is, nobody knows exactly when the market will right itself, however we are almost certainly going to see a significant slowdown in global economic activity over the next few months.
